The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) continuously strives to raise the bar for the national hospitality industry, and over the past few years did so by delivering winning service strategies, multicultural, sales, and marketing, in the tourism and convention markets. These efforts continue to position Philadelphia, and the PHLCVB, as national trendsetters. Below is a list of some of our recent awards and recognitions.

  • 2008 Shipmate of the Year, Philadelphia Chapter of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association (Larry Needle Larry Needle, executive director of the Philadelphia Sports Congress, was honored for his commitment to the Army-Navy Game)
  • 2008 Black Meetings & Tourism 2008 APEX Award For Distinguished Service (Tanya Hall, executive director of the Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), a division of the PHLCVB)
