Your Privacy Matters to Us
What information we collect and how we discard it
To send an e-card, you must provide us with your name and e-mail address and the name and email address of the recipient. This is the only personally identifiable information that you are required to submit to us in order to send an e-card. Once the e-card is sent from our server to your designated recipient, we immediately discard your name and e-mail address and those of your intended recipient. We do not charge any fee for you to send an e-card, regardless of the number of them that you send. We do not ask for, and you are not required to submit, your address, telephone number, credit card number, billing address, or any other information.
Google Analytics Remarketing and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting
Users can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings.
How we protect your information
We may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related Web site information to third parties, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Put simply, we will not tell our business partners that you sent an e-card, but we may tell them how many users sent e-cards.
Opting Out of Communications
Users are given the choice to opt-out of certain optional communications from the PHLCVB and their affiliates and marketing partners. To “opt-out” you may send an opt-out request marketing@discoverPHL.com with the word “unsubscribe” in the email subject line. You may also click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email communications the PHLCVB deploys. Please allow for a reasonable amount of time for the opt-out request to be processed.
Links to other Web sites
Our Web site contains links to other sites, operated by third parties, that we think may be of interest to you. We encourage third parties to follow appropriate privacy standards and policies, but are not responsible for the actions of those parties, the content of their Web sites, or any products or services they may offer.
We sometimes use “cookies” to collect anonymous information from visits to our Web site to help us provide better service. We may use this data to analyze trends and statistics to help us provide better service, but we do so in ways that keep the information anonymous. A cookie is an element of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which then may be stored on your system. You can set your browser to notify you before you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. You can also set your browser to turn off cookies.
Children’s privacy online
We understand that children’s privacy is important. Except in connection with surveys and contests, we do not monitor the age of our user audience. However, if you are under age 13, you should not submit personal identifying information to us without the consent of your parent or guardian. If you are a parent and want to limit your children’s access to material you believe may be harmful to them, you may want to look into commercially available hardware, software and filtering devices.
