U.S. ROWING MASTERS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Aug. 13-16, 2015
  • The 2015 US Rowing Masters National Championships is scheduled for Aug. 13-16, on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

USA RUGBY VS. HARLEQUIN F.C.

  • Aug. 30, 2015
  • USA Rugby is coming back to the City of Brotherly Love. The Men’s Eagles will make their return to PPL Park to take on Harlequin F.C. on Sunday, August 30, 2015. The world-renowned Harlequins, who play in the top-level of English rugby, the Aviva Premiership, will be making their first trip to Philadelphia in the team’s history.
  • Tickets for the event will go on sale starting Monday, May 4, at 10 am ET.

TEMPLE VS. PENN STATE (Football)

  • Sept. 5, 2015
  • The Owls kick off their season against Penn State on Sept. 5 at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be nationally broadcast on ESPN and will begin at 3:30 p.m., marking the schools’ first meeting in Philadelphia since 2011.

ARMY-NAVY CUP

  • Oct. 2, 2015
  • For the fourth consecutive year, the Army and Navy men’s soccer teams will square off in what is sure to be another nail-biter at PPL Park, home of the Philadelphia Union. In 2014, Navy won in double overtime in front of 10,168 fans to capture the win for the third Army-Navy Cup. The crowd ranked as the third highest attendance of the 2014 NCAA soccer season and surpassed the Army-Navy Cup II total of 7,416. Come be a part of the rivalry and excitement.

U.S. OPEN SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Oct. 8-17, 2015
  • Drexel University will host the 2014 U.S. Open Squash Championships, the most prestigious squash tournament in the country at the newly renovated Daskalakis Athletic Center in downtown Philadelphia.

TEMPLE VS. NOTRE DAME (Football)

  • Oct. 31, 2015
  • On Halloween, the Owls will take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Lincoln Financial Field. The last time the two teams met, in 2013, the Irish won, 28-6.

ATLANTIC 10 WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Nov. 6 and 8, 2015
  • St. Joseph’s University will play host to the league’s top four finishers for the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Championship November 6 and 8. The league last held its championship event on the SJU campus in 2011, the first year of competition at Ellen Ryan Field.

BUTTERFLY TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS (Table Tennis)

  • Nov. 27-29, 2015
  • The top Table Tennis players in the United States and Canada will compete in the Butterfly Teams Championships at Legacy Youth Tennis & Education Center in Philadelphia. The Teams wills will compete for the $10,000 in prize money.

U.S. ROWING CONVENTION

  • Dec. 3-6, 2015
  • Philadelphia is excited to host the 2015 U.S. Rowing Convention at the Hilton Penn’s Landing. The four-day event includes the Advanced Coaches Conference featuring top U.S. and international coaches; a "Business of Rowing" seminar and panel discussion with athletic program administrators; America Rows diversity, adaptive and inclusion programming; coaching certification; referee clinics; and a Junior Day series geared toward rowers and parents, in addition to receptions and local social events. Philadelphia has a rich rowing history, and picturesque Boathouse Row, with its lighted boathouses located along the Schuylkill River on Kelly Drive, is an iconic and unique site to visit.

ARMY-NAVY GAME

  • Dec. 12, 2015
  • Philadelphia will host the Army-Navy Game at Lincoln Financial Field. This storied event was recently rated as “One of The Top Five Sporting Events You Must See Live.”

BIG 5 DOUBLEHEADER

  • Jan. 20, 2016
  • The Philadelphia Big 5, in honor of its 60th anniversary, announced that La Salle will host Temple and Penn will host Saint Joseph's in a basketball doubleheader at the Palestra. Ticket information and other facts about the celebration will be available through the Big 5 office and the websites of LaSalle University and The University of Pennsylvania.
