Philadelphia Union vs. Swansea City A.F.C.

  •  Saturday, July 15, at 7 p.m.
  • Philadelphia Union will host English Premier League side Swansea City A.F.C. in an international friendly match at Talen Energy Stadium. Swansea City A.F.C. (Based in Swansea, Wales) is currently competing in the Premier League. The club has finished as high as eighth in the Premier League, a feat that they achieved in 2014-15.

Philadelphia Freedoms World Team Tennis League

  • July 16-Aug. 2
  • The Philadelphia Freedoms are part of Mylan World Team Tennis, the groundbreaking leader in professional team tennis competition. The Freedoms will play 14 matches during their 2017 regular season schedule, including seven home matches between July 16 and August 2 at Hagan Arena at Saint Joseph’s University. The Freedoms are owned by Billie Jean King. See some of the biggest names in tennis including Venus Williams and Andy Roddick.

CONCACAF Gold Cup Quarterfinal

  • July 19
  • Played every two years, the CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer tournament matches up the best players from 12 North and Central American nations. The 2017 tournament will take place at venues across the United States from July 7-26. Lincoln Financial Field will host the critical Gold Cup quarterfinal doubleheader matchup on July 19.

Army-Navy Cup

  • October 15, 2017
  • Army-Navy Cup soccer will be returning to Talen Energy Stadium for the sixth consecutive year. In just a few short years, this match has become one of the highest attended collegiate soccer matches in the nation. In 2016, 10,092 fans attended the match to see Army’s 1-0 victory, the largest crowd in college soccer for the entire season.

NCAA Men’s College Cup

  • December 8 & 10, 2017
  • Talen Energy Stadium and Villanova University will serve as the hosts for the 2007 NCAA College Cup. The dates for the 2017 DI men’s soccer championship are Friday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 10 at Talen Energy Stadium. Philadelphia last hosted this event in 2013.

Army-Navy Game presented by USAA

  • Dec. 9
  • On December 9, Philadelphia and Lincoln Financial Field will again host sports’ greatest rivalry. This marks the 87th time that America’s Game has called Philadelphia home.  Don’t miss your chance to be on hand and see what has been hailed as, “one of the top 5 sporting events to see live.”
