Operation Gratitude Day

Help Honor U.S. Military Personnel Overseas

Operation Gratitude Day is returning to Philadelphia for the sixth consecutive year on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Operation Gratitude Day Logo

The annual tradition seeks to lift troops’ morale and bring a smile to their faces by sending care packages addressed to individual service members deployed overseas. Operation Gratitude care packages contain food, toiletries, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with wishes of love and support.

Since 2003, Philadelphia has collected more than five tons of items through this partnership, supported by PHL Sports and the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau.
