Best PHL Brunch Spots

Weekends are about good friends, good times and good food, and brunch in Philadelphia is guaranteed to combine all three.

French-Inspired
Parc: Why not transport yourself to a Parisian café for Sunday brunch? Parc, located in Rittenhouse Square, has a morning menu full of French delights. There are a number of fresh omelets, eggs en cocotte with trout caviar and a number of salads, soups and buttery pastries.

For a Special Occasion
Lacroix: Located in the picturesque Rittenhouse Square District, Lacroix offers Sunday morning guests a gourmet brunch menu fit for foodies. Selections include a Raw Bar featuring house-smoked salmon, oysters and sushi, a variety of salads, charcuterie and mains, plus a stellar chocolate fountain and liquid nitrogen dessert station.

A Unique Brunch
IndeBlue: If you’re in the mood for an exotic brunch, look no further than IndeBlue, located just blocks from Washington Square. This Indian-inspired brunch includes masala bloody marys and rose petal mimosas, as well as samosas, naan pizza and mango coconut chutney for dessert.

Kid-Friendly
White Dog Café: This University City District café prides itself on the fact that 95% of the ingredients they use are locally-sourced and organic from farms they trust — plus all their coffee and teas are Fair Trade and organic. Kids won’t care about that though. They’ll love selecting their brunch options from their own menu, including French Toast Sticks (with a corn flake crust) or a Grilled Cheese Sandwich (made with French brioche). There’s lots on the adult menu too, including an artisanal charcuterie platter, buttermilk pancakes and homemade sausages.

Good Ol’ American
Fork: With an American-style menu that changes daily, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Fork. They push a traditional brunch a little farther by adding local wild mushrooms to their omelet, broccoli rabe to their sausage and grits and a sweet apple compote atop their French toast.

Mexican Fare
El Vez: Celebrate the weekend with a Mexican brunch at El Vez, a Washington Square must-visit. Tuck in and enjoy traditional Huevos Rancheros, a filled-to-the-brim breakfast burrito or Mexican waffles topped with hot chocolate sauce. After this meal, you’ll definitely be ready for a siesta.
