How many sports teams does Philadelphia have?

Philadelphia’s sports scene is unmatched, with nine professional teams calling the city home. Head to the Philadelphia Sports Complex in South Philadelphia, where four of major league teams play — the Eagles (NFL), Phillies (MLB), 76ers (NBA), and Flyers (NHL). The city’s MLS team, the Philadelphia Union, play at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania. Tickets for games can be purchased directly through the teams’ websites.

The other four Philadelphia professional teams are the Wings (box lacrosse), Waterdogs (lacrosse), Fight (rugby), and Phoenix (ultimate disc league). These teams play across the city and the surrounding area.

If you can’t get tickets to a game but still want in on the action, watch from Xfinity Live!. This fan zone is its own sports district with giant screens projecting the game, multiple bars and restaurants, and the die-hard fans Philadelphia is known for.
