Largest Philadelphia Hotel Venues

Philadelphia has an excellent selection of hotels to accommodate large groups.

Many are within walking distance of the city’s downtown and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Here is a round-up of the largest meeting spaces available in Philadelphia hotels.

Philadelphia Marriott Downtown

Neighborhood: Center City / Convention Center District
Address: 1201 Market St.

The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown is one of the largest convention hotels in the Northeast and the largest hotel in Philadelphia. It has 1,408 rooms, nearly 100,000 square feet of renovated meeting space, and 66 event rooms. The Grand Ballroom itself can seat up to 3,700 people. The hotel is conveniently connected to the Pennsylvania Convention Center via sky bridge. The property is also adjacent to the Reading Terminal Market and in walking distance to numerous attractions, restaurants, and other venues.

Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown

Neighborhood: Center City / Convention Center District

The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown is the city’s second-largest hotel and is located right off the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The hotel has 760 guestrooms with contemporary design and panoramic views of Center City. The property offers more than 60,000 square feet of event space with 24 meeting rooms. The Liberty Ballroom features nearly 20,000 square feet of space. The Horizons Rooftop Ballroom offers more than 4,000 square feet of space and stunning views of the city. This hotel is also within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Loews Philadelphia Hotel

Neighborhood: Center City / Convention Center District

After a $23 million renovation, the Loews Philadelphia Hotel now offers 47,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including three ballrooms. This hotel has 580 rooms and is conveniently located right across from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. There are 24 meeting rooms and versatile spaces available. The hotel is housed in a historic building, America’s first skyscraper, which was once home to the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society.

Element Philadelphia Hotel and W Philadelphia Hotel

The Element and W Philadelphia share over 45,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The Element Philadelphia Hotel is the largest Element Hotel property in the world. The hotel has 460 rooms and suites with fully equipped kitchens. There are 26 meeting rooms available, along with a 5,500 square foot ballroom that can hold up to 400 people. The property is only a short walk away from the Pennsylvania Convention Center in the heart of Philadelphia’s downtown.

The W Philadelphia has 295 rooms and suites. With 36 event rooms available, the largest space can hold up to 500 people. The hotel also offers a 7,000-square-foot outdoor terrace with a year-round heated pool, bar, and incredible city views. For a truly VIP experience, the W has a secret bar hiding in its lobby with space for up to 15 people and a customizable menu.

The Bellevue Hotel

The Bellevue Hotel is a historic landmark offering more than 30,000 square feet of lavish event space. The hotel’s two-tiered Grand Ballroom offers over 11,000 square feet of space featuring ornate light fixtures designed by Thomas Edison. Other options include The Conservatory, which can fit up to 225 guests, and XIX (Nineteen), a restaurant with two rooms, each with a capacity for up to 100 guests.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Philadelphia

The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia recently completed a multimillion-dollar renewal project. The update to this historic landmark building included all new guest rooms and suites, meeting and event space, and a refreshed lobby. The hotel features 35 suites with stunning views of City Hall and the Avenue of the Arts. The hotel has over 26,000 square feet of meeting space. Unique event spaces include Grand and Petite Ballrooms, nine Neoclassical meeting rooms, and a soaring domed lobby with marble steps and columns.
