Philadelphia Restaurants, Breweries, and Beer Gardens With Outdoor Dining

November 19, 2020

Updated January 15, 2021

A number of local restaurants, beer gardens, breweries, and bars offer outdoor dining, with over 3,600 seats available outdoors in Center City alone according to a recent report. Many restaurants are adjusting to the cooler months by installing sheltered dining spaces, heat lamps, and other creative solutions to keep guests comfortable. In order to maintain a safe environment for guests, these al fresco experiences include socially distant seating, mask policies, and other guidelines. Several locations are offering first come, first served walk-up seating, whereas others are requiring advanced reservations. Per new restrictions from the City of Philadelphia, outdoor dining is limited to parties of four or fewer at a table and all members of the party must be from the same household.

For a list of restaurants offering outdoor dining in Philadelphia, see below. Visit the restaurant’s website or social media channels for more safety information, hours, and to learn how to make reservations.

Many of these restaurants also continue to offer take-out and delivery service, as well as gift cards. Effective January 16, 2021, Philadelphia restaurants can once again offer indoor seating at a reduced capacity per the City of Philadelphia’s new guidelines.
