Philadelphia hotels are showing their commitment to health and safety by taking the PHL Hospitality Health Pledge.

Philadelphia’s growing collection of hotels — many within walking distance of the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Center City — have implemented new protocols to help keep guests and employees safe. When planning your next Philadelphia trip, consider booking a room at one of the hotels highlighted below, who have committed to upholding enhanced health and safety standards by taking the PHL Hospitality Health Pledge.

For a hint of French flair during your Philadelphia stay, seek out the Sofitel Philadelphia Hotel, stationed just a short walk from the city’s popular Rittenhouse Square park and shopping district. The Parisian-themed hotel boasts recently renovated rooms and health and safety guidelines that include a 48-hour settling period for rooms between guests. The first International style skyscraper in the U.S., the former Pennsylvania Savings Funds Society building is now home to the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. In addition to recently remodeled rooms and an updated spa and fitness center, the Loews has also implemented their Welcoming you like Family health and safety protocols that include contactless experiences and enhanced cleaning policies.

Nearby, the brand-new Canopy by Hilton converts the historic Stephen Girard Building into a 236-room hotel, complete with a ground floor restaurant, The Wayward, complimentary bikes perfect for exploring the city, and updated amenities. The Hilton Honors app allows guests to check-in, unlock their room, set the temperature, order room service, and more all via their phones for a contactless hotel experience.

Following the health and safety guidelines outlined in Hilton’s CleanStay program, which include contactless food delivery and the regular cleaning and disinfecting of rooms and public spaces, The Inn at Penn, A Hilton Hotel on the University of Pennsylvania campus serves as a convenient option for those traveling by train, with the 30th Street Amtrak station just a short walk away. The Kimpton Hotel Palomar near Rittenhouse Square has partnered with EcoLab and the Cleveland Clinic to introduce additional measures that further enhance their disinfection protocol in public areas, joining the hotel’s already thorough cleaning routine as well as face covering requirements throughout public areas of the property. Also near Rittenhouse, the Sonesta Philadelphia — whose Market Street facade is home to one of the largest Mural Arts murals in the city — has introduced a Stay Safe with Sonesta program that includes enhanced public area cleaning and sanitizing, guest service measures, and room cleaning and sanitization protocols. The hotel has also implemented new meeting and event protocols, such as floor plans with with appropriate social distancing factored in and updated food and beverage offerings that prioritize single-serve items.
