2021 Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau & Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority Annual Report

2021 was a year of sustained rebuilding. Philadelphia, and the world at large, rolled out its vaccination efforts in earnest and travel resumed. Working together with all of our partners, we welcomed a return to normalcy when in spring of 2021, we successfully hosted the largest event in Philadelphia since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the successful, safe return of large events, 2021 saw an encouraging uptick towards pre-pandemic metrics, including an increase in hotel rooms booked, meetings and conventions held, and visitation progress.

This report was once again produced in conjunction with our partners at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority, representing our combined efforts as the Philadelphia tourism and hospitality industry got back to business.
