Temple University Hospital is the 583-bed flagship facility of Temple University Health System (TUHS), serving as the chief clinical training site of Temple University School of Medicine (TUSM), as well as the leading safety-net provider in Pennsylvania – serving the highest number of inpatients covered by Medicaid in the Commonwealth – as part of its commitment to serving the healthcare needs of the community. 

Its physicians and staff provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to patients from the Philadelphia region and beyond – including highly specialized, tertiary- and quaternary-care services in Cardiovascular Disease; Cancer; Digestive Diseases; Neurosciences; Orthopaedics; Pulmonary; Transplantation; Bone Marrow Transplant; and Bariatric Surgery. TUH is the only Level-I Trauma Center in Philadelphia with both a trauma and adult burn unit.
