NJ’s Official Tall Ship A.J. Meerwald will offer public and educational sails along the Delaware River this July departing from Independence Seaport Museum (ISM) docks at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia.
Experience history aboard this authentically restored 1928 Delaware Bay oyster schooner. Help hoist the sails or sit back and relax. Once aboard the crew share the boat's rich maritime history, the shellfish industry along the Delaware River and Bay and culture of those that lived and worked in the industry.
The cost of a public sail ticket is $50, charters are available as well as educational sails for youth organizations and nonprofits. Donations are appreciated and will help support New Jersey’s official Tall Ship, the state’s very own historic oyster schooner.
