In an announcement made last week, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board dismissed the unfair labor practice charges filed against the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC) by two unions (Carpenters Local 8 and Teamsters Local 107) who chose not to sign a new agreement to provide show floor labor at the Center. Similar charges were dismissed by the National Labor Relations Board in July 2014. Click here for additional information and a statement from the Center.
The decision comes at a time of positive momentum for Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. John McNichol, PCC President & CEO and PCC General Manager Lorenz Hassenstein provide an on-the-ground look into the effect the changes are having on the experience at the Center.
