There are more than 9,000 hotel rooms within an easy 15-minute walk of the Pennsylvania Convention Center including the Radisson Plaza – Warwick Hotel, soon to become the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel Philadelphia. The 301-room historic hotel, located in the prestigious Rittenhouse Square district of Philadelphia, is undergoing a $17 million renovation with a redesign of all guestrooms and corridors, as well as the hotel’s grand lobby to reflect Radisson Blu’s signature, contemporary style, while maintaining the charm and heritage of the landmark property. The conversion will be complete by late summer 2013.
One of only four Radisson Blu properties in the Americas, the hotel is managed by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and is recognized internationally for its cutting edge design and upscale hospitality.
The hotel originally opened in 1926 and currently features 301 spacious guestrooms, including four suites, a 2,000 square foot fitness center, 17,000 square feet of event space and three dining venues, which include Tavern 17, perfect for a quick happy hour, the award-winning Prime Rib steakhouse restaurant for a more formal sit down dinner and Coffee Bar offering lattes, pastries, soups, sandwiches and desserts.
The Radisson also has a 4 Green Key Rating from the Green–Key Eco Rating Program for its commitment to responsible business practices and environmental awareness; the rating scale is out of five and is awarded to hotels that remain dedicated to improving their environmental and fiscal performances. Additionally, Radisson was awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for its consistent, outstanding reviews from guests.
