Philadelphia’s unique off-site venues immerse you in our city’s distinct history and culture. From the hallowed halls of legendary Carpenters’ Hall to the deck of the historic Battleship New Jersey on the bank of the Delaware River, Philadelphia offers a variety of one-of-a-kind venues for hosting events of all sizes.

The College of Physicians of Philadelphia is the cure for the common event. With its interesting collections of anatomical specimens, models and medical instruments in a 19th-century “cabinet museum” setting, this venue is sure to intrigue meeting attendees and keep them talking long after the convention is over. From intimate dinners to grand receptions, this venue can host up to 800 guests.

Delight your meeting attendees with the beauty of the natural world at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, the oldest natural-history museum in the Western Hemisphere. Dine in the shadows of dinosaurs, or sip cocktails on the North American plains. The wide variety of spaces within the museum makes it easy to find an area fit for every event. Separately or in combination, these areas can accommodate anywhere from 25 to 1,400 guests.

The Battleship New Jersey, our nation’s most decorated battleship, is now a floating Memorial & Museum on the Delaware River. From the Battleship’s decks, the skylines of the Philadelphia and Camden waterfronts provide an extraordinary backdrop for special occasions. This ship can accommodate groups from 15 to 3,000 in 11 separate or combined venues.

Host an event where America’s first Convention took place! Carpenters’ Hall, built in 1770, is a historical and unique facility for any event, offering a wide range of special services. The venue is able to accommodate cocktail or other stand-up receptions for up to 125 people, or a seated affair for up to 83 people.

The National Constitution Center is the first museum in the world devoted to dramatically telling the story of the Constitution through more than 100 interactive and multi-media exhibits. Located on Independence Mall, the National Constitution Center combines the ambiance of history with the amenities of a state-of-the-art facility to create a truly memorable event. This location offers a variety of spaces to configure for any meeting or event: sit down dinners for 640 guests, receptions for 900 guests, as well as a variety of lecture and conference spaces.

The African American Museum
in Philadelphia’s collection of more than 500,000 objects, images and documents preserving and interpreting the culture of African Americans, creates an impressive backdrop for events and functions. All four of the museum’s galleries and an auditorium are available for rental and can accommodate groups ranging from 20 to 500 people.
