Philadelphia radio spot airs in Ireland

The PHLCVB Global Tourism department recently partnered with Aer Lingus to promote the airline’s nonstop flights to Philadelphia on Irish radio. The promotional effort ran as a three-week, cross-station radio competition supported by Dublin’s top radio stations and Multitrip.com. Additionally, promotional support was provided across the properties’ respective digital media channels.

Further details of the promotion include:

  • Philadelphia, the Wyndham Historic District and Aer Lingus brands were featured in all clips.
  • Via radio, each partnering brand received a minimum of 200 brand mentions across the three-week period.
  • Promotion received game play every hour of the day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Therefore, it ran from the breakfast show through to the evening show.
  • Promotion involved radio teaser clips, one week of 30-second pre-promotional clips, two weeks of on-air promotion every hour of the day and a grand finale.
  • Online support included: a landing page on the radio station’s website and multitrip.com; the multitrip.com monthly customer newsletters and regular social media posts from multitrip.com and the radio stations.
