The PHLCVB Global Tourism department recently partnered with Aer Lingus to promote the airline’s nonstop flights to Philadelphia on Irish radio. The promotional effort ran as a three-week, cross-station radio competition supported by Dublin’s top radio stations and Multitrip.com. Additionally, promotional support was provided across the properties’ respective digital media channels.

The PHLCVB and the Student Youth Travel Association’s (SYTA) Student Youth Foundation in early June joined to host a group of students from Houston who had been impacted by the flooding in that area during Hurricane Harvey.
Their Philadelphia experience will be highlighted at the next STYA Conference, which will take place Aug. 24-28 in Baltimore. For the first time, PHLCVB will have a booth space at the conference. At least four PHLCVB staff members will participate in the show.
Bonnie Grant, executive director of PHL Life Sciences, has been nominated to the national board of the Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA), serving under the incoming president, Gregg Lapin, CMP, Director of Meeting Services, American Association of Diabetes Educators.
Board members will vote on the slate of nominees during the annual HCEAConnect meeting, which will take place from Aug. 12-14 this year in Baltimore.
HCEA is dedicated to the advancement of the medical meetings and exhibition industries through education, services and networking. HCEAConnect will bring together medical meeting association and exhibit floor directors, as well as convention service providers for a series of programs and roundtables. DiscoverPHL.com’s Venue Search Feature allows meeting and event planners to find the specific venues that match their needs.
Planners can find see all venues by clicking the button to “View All Venues,” or they can narrow things down by selecting a specific room setup and specific capacity range.
However, some members do not have specific room capacities uploaded for some room setups.
We encourage you to click now to review your listing information and update it if needed.
The capacity information can be found by looking at the “Account Information” blue bar at the top of your screen and clicking “View/Edit Details.” Find the line that says “Special Event Venues” and click “Edit.”
If you have individual venue spaces, you can view and update them separately, if needed.
If you have just one primary space, you can update the fields at the bottom for “Banquet Sit Down Capacity” and “Reception Stand Up Capacity.”
While you’re logged in, please take a few moments to update other aspects of your member listing, and add Events or Deals, if you have any.
