Las Bugambilias

Traditional Mexican eatery offering Veracruz-style dishes & margaritas in lively, colorful quarters.
About

Las Bugambilias has been serving traditional Mexican food for over 15 years, first from their original South Street location, and now from the heart of Old City Philadelphia since May of 2021. Previously serving for 14 years as the Executive Chef of Tequilas in Center City, owner Carlos Molina hails from Panuco, Veracruz, Mexico. His wife, co-owner Michelle Zimmerman, is a native born and ... bred Philadelphian, Drexel film graduate, and lover of Mexican cinema. They’ve each worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years. Featuring a combination of authentic Veracruzano dishes, Mexican street-food favorites, and craft margaritas, they have created a dining experience that combines the best of both of their worlds. This vision is invigorated by the newest generation of restaurateurs, their sons Alex and Richard Molina.
