Steps from the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Broad Street, Recipe Philly seats 175 for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. The menu isn’t chef-written, it’s sourced from a citywide competition among Philadelphia home cooks: 1,000 locals entered family recipes, 60 were chosen to film a competition, and about 40 that made the final cut. The result is a menu ... built entirely from real family recipes, each one credited to the home cook who submitted it. A full bar anchors the space, with daily food and drink specials during Social Hour from 3 to 6 pm. The private dining room seats 30 to 50, a fit for team dinners, showers, or small celebrations. Walk-ins are welcome; reservations are recommended for larger parties.
