Hispanic + Latino

Share Philly’s Latin American and Caribbean Heritage

Today, there are roughly 420,000 Hispanics representing over 20 cultural heritages living in and around Philadelphia. The Hispanic population is one of the fastest growing in the Greater Philadelphia region. Between 2000 and 2009 alone, the Hispanic population grew twice as quickly as that of non-Hispanics in the Greater Philadelphia Region. In Philadelphia, there are great restaurants, festivals, businesses and events that highlight the many Hispanic cultures.

Check out the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s “The State of Hispanic Business” report for the Greater Philadelphia region. The report, which was conducted by the GPHCC and Temple University’s Fox School of Business in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development, contains data offering insights and analyses about Latino Businesses and consumers in the Greater Philadelphia region. GPHCC shared details of the report at a news conference attended by local business and government leaders from the Hispanic and non-Hispanic communities as well as Chamber members.
