New position established to guide strategic initiatives related to citywide events and international tourism through America’s Semiquincentennial in 2026
PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jennifer Nagle as vice president of special projects. With over 20 years of executive experience in the fields of marketing, tourism and hospitality, Nagle will play a pivotal role in leading strategic initiatives related to the PHLCVB’s focus on citywide conventions, sporting events, such as the FIFA World Cup 26 ™ and 2026 MLB All-Star Game, and international tourism in the lead up to and throughout 2026.
In her new role, Nagle will collaborate with PHLCVB leadership to ensure alignment, engagement and facilitation of key projects on behalf of the PHLCVB and its closest partners, including the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority and Visit Philadelphia.
“Jen knows the PHLCVB well, and her deep-rooted connection to the city makes her the ideal choice to spearhead our strategic initiatives as we prepare for 2026 in earnest,” said Gregg Caren, president and CEO of the PHLCVB. “Jen’s leadership will undoubtedly contribute to our mission of promoting Philadelphia as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, sporting events and international tourism during America’s Semiquincentennial year.”
As vice president of special projects, Nagle will serve as an internal and external liaison throughout the planning and execution of projects and events related to the PHLCVB’s lines of business. She will serve as the PHLCVB’s primary representative while collaborating with partner organizations and planning strategic initiatives and programs leading through the end of 2026.
“I am honored to take on this new role at the PHLCVB and be a part of the team that continues to secure global events while elevating the visitor experience,” said Nagle. “I look forward to collaborating with our partners and stakeholders to create memorable and successful programs that will showcase the city’s vibrant culture and hospitality.”
Nagle’s impressive background includes a previous position with the PHL Sports division of the PHLCVB that preceded her most recent roles as interim president and CEO and executive vice president of the Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation (PVCC). Since 2010, Nagle played an instrumental part in a variety of initiatives that positively impact the visitor experience including acquiring and growing the Philly PHLASH® Downtown Loop program and opening the LOVE Park Visitor Center.
She also made significant contributions to the Visitor Experience Improvement Project for the Philadelphia Visitor Center culminating in 2018, and most recently secured the funding and fabrication of the Parkway Outpost Visitor Center, a modular visitor center that will soon open near the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, close to the Rocky statue.
A South Philadelphia native, Nagle holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual major in marketing and finance from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and completed her MBA at Saint Joseph’s University. She will begin her new role on September 11, 2023.
