The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) has been approved by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) to use their global Safe Travels Stamp in recognition of our destination’s commitment to safely reopening to visitors.
PHLCVB has also been designated a Safe Travels Ambassador to promote the Safe Travels Stamp to our partners including hotels, motels, resorts, retail, convention centers, meetings & event locations, and attractions.
WTTC alongside its members, governments, health experts, and other industry associations are working together to achieve effective recovery protocols by developing meaningful action plans that optimize sector-wide recovery efforts.
Part of their protocols includes providing the public & private sectors with the insights & toolkits for interaction & implementation to ensure that people feel safe. It is paramount to have common rules. Ultimately, they envision a future of travel that is safe, secure, seamless, and provides an authentic and meaningful experience to the traveler across the journey; one which supports the livelihoods of millions and contributes to sustainable economic growth.
The protocols align the private sector behind common standards to ensure the safety of its workforce and travelers as the sector shifts to a new normal. Please note that while the protocols consider current World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, they are living documents which will be updated as available information about COVID-19 becomes available.
You can read more about the WTTC program here.
In order to apply for the Safe Travels Stamp through the PHLCVB, please follow these steps:
1. Read your relevant segment protocol guidelines:
You can see all the segment protocols here.
2. Complete the relevant checklist survey, indicating if your protocols align with those of the WTTC. (Yes – Align, No – Do not align, N/A – Not applicable):

3. If you are accepted after submitting your survey, you will be sent a form to agree to the terms and conditions and you will then be issued your stamp for customization.
