Broad Street, one of the busiest streets in Philadelphia, becomes even busier on the the first Sunday in May for the world famous Broad Street Run. The 36th Broad Street Run 10 Miler will go from Broad and Olney down to the Navy Yard on May 3 to mark Philadelphia’s official start to the running season. Not only is it the largest race in the city and the largest and fastest 10-miler in the country, it’s also the eighth-largest road race in the United States, according to Running USA.
