The city’s iconic running events will continue into the fall, when the Rock ‘n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon returns to the city streets with a new date. Due to Pope Francis’ historic visit to the city in late September, the race has moved back a few weeks, and will now be held on Saturday, October 31st. The race also welcomes a new title sponsor in 2015, with the Philadelphia-based American Association for Cancer Research.
Event weekend kicks off with a free Health & Fitness Expo at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Thursday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Oct. 30. The Expo is free and open to the public and all runners must visit the Expo to pick up their bib. Registration and information are available at RunRocknRoll.com/Philadelphia.
